The Hope Planted in My Life

Featured Image

As I reflect on the message of hope planted in my life, I am reminded of a prayer I offered during a 30-day retreat in my second year of Novitiate.

“I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts.”
— Jeremiah 31:33

While meditating on this passage, Jesus led me to the image of a vast, open sea. In prayer, I found myself standing with Him, silently watching the sun rise over the horizon. Just being there, in that stillness, brought me deep peace and joy. I could feel the Lord inscribing His law into my heart, and with it, a new hope He would bring to life through me.

“The days are coming,” declares the Lord.
— Jeremiah 31:31

I came to realize that “that day” is now—this very moment—when the Lord is actively working through me. These are the days of hope. As I stood beside Jesus, gazing at the endless sea and the glowing sun, a message of hope was quietly etched into my heart:

“Look, the day is coming.
There are no limits, no obstacles.
I believe in your potential.
Unfold it fully and freely.”

And my response to that message was simple:

“Lord, I thank You for trusting me,
for believing in what I can become.”

I am studying nursing, walking a new path in life. This journey is not always easy, but the hope Jesus planted in me is my strength and driving force. The endless ocean, the rising sun, and the Lord who believes in my possibilities—these are the signs I carry in my heart.

With each step, I walk forward, holding onto His message of hope.
